Job Evaluation

Build an Objective Framework

PayAnalytics’ Job Evaluation feature gives you the tools you need to build a truly objective compensation structure. Even compare dissimilar jobs based purely on the value of each to your organization.

Let Objectivity Take the Lead

In job evaluation, you decide which objective factors—like skills, responsibility, and effort—impact your compensation and define a framework based on them.

For example, your overall framework might include communication skills; these can be separated into three levels that range from complex to simple. The higher the level, the higher the point value.

Assign Value to Jobs

Based on the evaluation framework you’ve decided upon, assign levels to the skills required to perform a certain job. For example, an administrative assistant may require Level 3 communication skills, worth 80 points, but only Level 2 analytical skills, worth 50 points.

Run Analyses Based on Equal Pay for Work of Equal Value

Once you’ve created a complete job evaluation framework, you can link it to your employee data and run pay equity analyses focused on equal pay for work of equal value.

Choose Your Own Path to Job Evaluation

You can take three paths to creating your job evaluation framework within the system—according to your needs and preferences.
